FAQ and Attributes for 'Ratings' fonts/size/color
I have looked everywhere I can think of through the style sheets and
CSS, but can not seem to find which attribute to change to change the
size of the "Ratings" information that displays on the FAQ page. Is
there something on the Admin portion or another Admin portion I've
missed? Seems to make no difference on which Style I use for the FAQ
Detail or Admin page.
Thanks in advance for the help with what will turn out to be an
extremely stupid question.

The rating scale is, indeed, set in the Admin section.
In my losing battle with the NOF FAQ, sometimes it would publish with a
pre-defined list of ratings, but most times would be blank until set under
Admin.

D'oh! Sorry, wrong answer. I thought you were looking to set the ratings and
number of stars... It's still early! :-)

No worries! It's early here, and I really didn't explain it well (it
was late).
What I'm trying to do is change the size/fonts for the "Ratings" that
display on the screen. They are larger and in straight black, which
makes the FAQ page look a little sophomoric.
As I'm progressing in this use, I'm also finding that I can't organize
the display of the FAQ's segregated by category. Should I assume that
this is really a "beginning tool," and if I want to go deeper, I need to
use another tool or have it coded? (Chances of me coding it in this
lifetime are probably slim.)

Regarding changing the text, if you go into your Style page and select the
"Selectors" tab, you should be able to find the CSS for the FAQ. It is
called ".nof_faq_text". This appears to apply to the Rating, Hits and
Modified On: text. It does not look like it affects the Answer text, but
it's possible.
Once you have highlighted this, you can either edit the properties using the
CSS Code Editor or the CSS Properties Editor on the right side.

Organizing the FAQ Categories is done in the Admin page after publishing.
You won't be able to see it under Preview or Local Publish as you can't run
the scripts unless you have PHP server software installed on you computer.
Once published, go to the Admin page, and you should see the following
options:
Add FAQ | List FAQ | Categories | Rate Ranks
See the pic on my earlier misguided post. Once you click "Categories", there
should be an option for "Add Category". Any previously created categories
will also be listed and you can Edit or Delete these.
Once this is done, when you go to "Add FAQ" you will have the ability to
select a category. "List FAQ" will allow you to edit existing FAQs, and
re-assign what category they are in.
The NOF FAQ is actually quite nice, BUT I have one client site where, for
some unknown reason, when I change something on the site and republish, all
of the entered FAQs (sometimes - not always) disappear. My suggestion is to
keep a file (eg. Word document) with all of the Q's and A's so it's easy to
copy/paste them back in should they disappear. Simply backing up the .CSV
files does not work. This problem seems to have happened to no one else, and
for me it is just this one site, so it may never be an issue for you.

And be sure to run them through an ASCII editor such as NoteTab before
pasting back into NOF. At the very least, use Paste Special |
Unformatted Text. If you pasted from Word before, that may explain the
disappearing text.
