    Angry Error 201 - using the SMTP server '25' with hosting provider Go-Daddy.

    So I just got off the phone with Go-Daddy and they told me that my form won't work according the settings that are asked for on Net-object. They do not allow it. I would have to use relay-hosting.secureserver.net instead of an ip in order to send mail, otherwise I keep getting this:

    [Error 201] Could not send email to 'sales@scoresolutionsservices.com' from 'repair@scoresolutionsservices.com' using the SMTP server '25'. Please check if you have access to the SMTP server.

    I'm tired of banging my head to try and fix this.... could use any help. Is there anyone else that has had to setup a contact form on a go daddy hosting under a Microsoft environment?

    Could really use some assistance here.

    Duane.

    Are you using the ASP code generation option?

    I recommend using the ASP option with windows hosting

    First thank you for the tutorial, I did find it useful, but even though I have everything now set according to instructions, the problem still remains. It's a go daddy hosting issue, I believe. They said they do not allow for this form method to work. Now if someone out there is using Go-Daddy and has this form working.... I'd still like to hear from them.

    I'd suggest changing your host. I use and recommend superb.net (for more than 10 years).

    If you want to stay where you are (hosting wise) you can use 123 contact form to process and send emails.

    They have a free service. See if you qualify for that.

    Here is my tutorial on how to integrate 123contact form into Fusion

    Ended up using a different template and scrapping Net Objects for this project. Hosting Company would not allow this method in their environment.

    Which method? PHP?

    Fusion writes valid php mailto code, just like all the rest of the scripts do.

    Does your host support PHP?

    Do you have a Windows hosting account?

    If you are on windows hositng, there is an ASP code option in Fusion.

    Ask if your hosting comes with ColdFusion support. If it does, you can process any form to email using some very basic CF code

    <cfmaill>
    stuff in here
    </cfmail>

    Try www.arhoster.com for the Linux cPanel hosting.
    There will no problems with hosting web sites done with NOF.
    John - I am born to tease, not to please.
    For NOF beginners: read everything here and practice on mock web sites first.
    Before asking a question, search to see if it has not been asked and answered already.
