Question Richard
Hey thanks Richard, the component is a youtube file. You brought up
something I've always had a problem with...when you embed any html, you make
a textbox, then "controlT" and insert it, BUT the place holder in design
view always shrinks to the smallest size and I'm left guessing where to
place others links and objects! Is there a way to show how big the actual
component box is on the page??? Please show me how if you know, greatly
appreciated!
I tried putting the gif in it's own layout region, worked once. Now not
working, now my
white text box is expanding to right?!! What's up with that??? Ugh.

Re: Question Richard
One more thing, you must know I've tried moving everything around every
which way,
the gif is nowhere near the youtube html, the picture of the cats doesn't
move??? I still can't place the gif where I want it! and I can't make it a
jpeg cuz the transparency looks like crap. Man, I never had this many
problems in NOF7.

Re: Question Richard
Does the problem disappear if you remove the YouTube video?
Have you tried to create a Layout Region that is the exact size (or
larger) as the YouTube video and Control-T your YouTube code into that?
Have you tried to put a "placeholder" Layout Region running vertically
along the entire height of the right side of the page?

Interesting
Laurence, I just removed the video as you suggested, and everything is fine
and perfectly placed! On my current version of my website, I have a link to
the video and the videos on their own page, I guess I'll have to stick with
that, I'm sure I'll have something come up then too!
Oh well, I lost two hours screwing around with that. I do still have a
question about the html boxes, is there a way to have them show correct size
in design view? instead of so tiny?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Interesting
Tiny? If you drag out the size of a Layout Region to be the size that
you want... it'll stay that size. Were you using a Text box, perhaps?
Those will maintain width but height will collapse to the height of a
single line.... unless you check the box in the Properties Palette for
"fixed height".

Re: Interesting
Yes I'm using textbox, control T. You can make the text box whatever width
you want even after entering the code, but it will always reduce down to a
lines height, ...I would like it to show the actual size box of the content
it holds, to better place them.
I see a "lock height" option in properties, but don't see "fixed height"
option.

Re: Interesting
Yes, I was going from memory... I should have said "lock height". That
will maintain the height of a Text Box... otherwise, it collapses to the
height of what is in the box. Since you didn't type any text in the
box, NOF treats the box as if it were empty, so without locking the
height, that box will collapse to 1 line.
