Angry Is there any SUPPORT anymore????

I'm completely frustrated and peeved -- for good reason!

A week ago, I emailed Netobjects support regarding problems with my file crashing. I couldn't do certain things. Didn't hear back after 5 days, so I emailed them again. NOTHING.

NOW, MY FILE WON'T OPEN AT ALL. I'M SUPER PISSED!

How can they expect us to upgrade when they CAN'T even support us???

This is a client site with over 200 pages and 600 files. Thinking it's time to convert to Dreamweaver. At least, I can edit my pages in DW fairly well while NO sits on their A$&!

copy the newest backups to the root from the backups folder, and then use the newest one that opens and resave to its original name

    Hi KayK,

The last ticket I have from your email address is back from 2011.

Are you submitting tickets to http://support.netobjects.com?

Regardless, here are some articles to help you out:

    http://wiki.netobjects.com/Knowledge...ng_an_Autosave

Also, if you are able to open the site, or a backup, but still are experiencing instability, try the following tutorial:

    http://wiki.netobjects.com/Knowledge...lication_crash

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,
    Adam

Somethings wrong...My first reply never displayed. Hoping this one goes through.

First, I did submit a ticket through your system 7 days ago, then email twice after that:

Thank you for contacting NetObjects Support!

This is confirmation that we have received your request and a Support Specialist will be working to get back to you with an answer as soon as possible. Your ticket number is SEL-76715-763

    .....

I suggest you check your end...

Second, I found a backup and finally did a re-optimization. That has seemed to made it more stable. Crossing my fingers. Sadly, lots of re-work to do since this backup was several site updates ago. :-( Client is waiting on me!

NoF should autosave backups whenever it is used. Also make sure Backup manager is set to run when NoF is closed. That should mean you always have a recent Backup. However, my practice is to export a template every time I do any major work on a site and most ppl here do and would recommend the same. That way if your site nod file gets corrupted, you can always get the site back with not too much rework needed.

Thanks, Frank. I found a backup and do backup on close -- but just noticed that it accidentally got unchecked recently when I double-checked my settings. However, I was able to recover an Autosave, thankfully. Good practice to follow on the templates. I will do (though a shame we must!).

I also save my templates on a separate phyiscal drive so that if the hard drive snafu's I still have all my sites.

I am having the same issue ... no response from support:

Thank you for contacting NetObjects Support!

This is confirmation that we have received your request and a Support Specialist will be working to get back to you with an answer as soon as possible. Your ticket number is LDS-47563-655

Since the majority of requests require research to resolve, it can sometimes take us up to 48 hours to respond, though we make every effort to get back to you as quickly as possible and most queries are answered within 24 hours.

Thank you for contacting us. We’ll be getting back to you as soon as possible!
I created a support ticket because I couldn't find a satisfactory answer in the community. I have to admit. I am sick of NoF. I honestly can't remember why I bothered to upgrade.

That is why the support forum exists.

If you have a problem, find the appropriate forum and ask for help.

Most problems are simple to fix and your questions have been asked thousands of times by countless others over the decades.

    Peeved? Pissed off? Wooow! ...

Kay, we all of us have been that way at a time or another. Guess what? We found the solutions at that time and now, after many years, here we are.

DreamWeaver will never fulfill any dreams if you can't fulfill them with NOF or other wysiwyg website design software.

200-page website? Hhmm, did you split it in chapters and have as many separate sub-websites as the chapters or did you just make one website?
I believe you did the latter.

You may be annoyed at one time or another, but ... guess what ... this is just an invitation for you to solve the problem so you could make a new step up in your journey, journey that ONLY YOU can make it to be enjoyable or miserable ...

As I write this post I KNOW FOR SURE that I too shall get upset again sometime in the future, (and not only on NOF!), but I also know that I shall manage to control myself and watch to see whether whatever solution I shall find will make me a better, smarter and yes, richer guy.,
John - I am born to tease, not to please.
For NOF beginners: read everything here and practice on mock web sites first.
Before asking a question, search to see if it has not been asked and answered already.
