Default A question about using forms and the gotfusion Mals-e tutorial

    Hello,

    I used the Mals-e tutorial at http://www.gotfusion.com/tutorials/tut.cfm?itemID=4050

But using that tutorial, I don't believe I ever used the Forms Handler, I only selected "Table is a Form" and because of that, I don't know how I can change the Submit button to an image. Everything I read says that I need to get to the Forms Handler.

I cannot find a way to open the Forms Handler, other than by creating a new form.

    Any ideas?

I've tried going to Forms Button Properties and changing Type: from Submit to Image and then selecting an add-to-cart.gif that I like, but it wont publish the .gif file. I did have it added to my Assets folder. It's listed in my Publish view as Auto-generated-image, never published. And I get the following error:

the file C:\Users\Steve\Documents\NetObjects Fusion 2015\User Sites\trialsite1\Preview\Autogen\add-to-cart.gif could not be opened. Please check that the file exists as named.

Since it is not locally published, it doesn't publish it via FTP either. Ugh, I wish I could get this to work.

    Hmmm.

I tried manually copying the file to that location- the preview location, and that didn't work. I've tried reselecting the image in the Forms Button Properties; that didn't help. But now, for some reason it has suddenly worked. It worked in the preview and on the site. Hmmm, who knows...

Sorry to be slow on this but RL got in the way for a few days

When you have odd issues such as this try clearing everything out of preview and local and starting fresh

I thought I had a tutorial on using custom buttons but I find it was an old newgroup post (long before the forum) so can't point you to it. I've added this tutorial to my "gee I should do this" list.
