Default Re-optimize causes NOF 11 to crash

I am running Win 7 64-bit and several sites in NOF 11. With at least one site, running Re-optimise causes the application to crash fatally. This appears to be a relatively new problem. Microsoft applications and NOF are kept up to date.

    Any thoughts and solutions?

Thanks gotfusion. I don't have any rogue coding and no problem in recovering the site, but I can't run Re-optimise. Neither can I publish the entire site. Yesterday, I published all the pages successfully (either individually or in small groups), except for 1 which may the cause of the problem. That page won't let me open it.

I have re-built a replacement page from scratch but I can't delete the original. Any attempt to delete causes NOF to crash. Until I delete it, I can't re-optimise or publish entire site (assuming that is the problem). How can I delete the page?

In site view can you "move" the page (drag it somewhere else)?

Can you mark it "do not publish"?

Have you tried all 3 ways to delete (right click, delete key, menu "edit > delete" option)?

can you "save as" under a different name and open the new saved project (and delete from there)?

    Have you verified assets? http://www.gotfusion.com/tutorials/tut.cfm?itemID=357

Can you export to template and import using a different name?

More to come after you go through these options.

Hi gotfusion, done all of those. I had moved the page and marked it as do not publish but doesn't affect re-optimise. Tried all 3 ways to delete, saved as & opened, verified assets, exported to template & imported to blank site under different name but to no effect.

    What is next step?

Next you should check your masterborders...

    http://www.gotfusion.com/tutorials/tut.cfm?ItemID=142

How many pages is this site? If it is small (under 35 pages) kit might be quicker to start a new project and copy/paste content from the wonky one into the new one.

You should make sure you have your paste defaults set to un-formatted text to avoid bringing in rogue content (coding that conflicts with existing scripts)

There's more but go through this first.
