    Angry Secure sites/Pages

All I want to do is create some "Secure" pages within the site. Now I have read all that I can find in Wiki etc., but still can't understand how you use the NOF plugins to achieve this. There's lots of stuff with HTML and PNP etc. But no simple step by step tutorial as to how this is done directly within NOF. Am I missing something here? I thought the security stuff would basically be Point & click stuff, obviously not. Has anyone done something like this, say on a youtube video or whatever to help us dumb souls who are not HTML experts?

Appreciate that one has to have a DB with the users etc. and login etc. but how do you put all this together within NOF. Can one use an Access DB for instance?

    Any help appreciated.

Hi Bluesman, Yes I did after I posted the message. Am trying to follow that but am still not sure as to if I am doing the right things. So far when I add a "secure" feature to a page I get a very odd Icon appear and when I use my own image it's not showing. If I use a local publish of the page same thing. Do I need to publish locally the whole site to get it to work? One specific question, I don't want to allow online sign up so I assume I can leave that component out? I will create a table of "Members" and they can sign in using their ID (Email) and change their password on 1st use, well that's the idea anyway. I am using the template in the tutorial within my site so assume that this should allow general view of all but this section. Also is it possible to use an Access DB instead of a csv or does this require more programming?

    Thanks

    Hi Malcolm,

maybe my German tutorial pages could also help you a bit. Just have a look.

Here you can play with the "Secure Site" component - you will be registered automatically.

No, you can only use this component with a CSV file, otherwise you must look out for 3rd party scripts, as I have done for instance here
