Default Can't connect to any host

Just happened today...can't connect to update any website.
I tried various websites, on two different hosts.
My internet connection is fine and I can connect to the host site.

I have checked all the publish settings.
All looks good. Nothing changed from yesterday.
I have tried re-entering passwords, etc.

    I have reinstalled NoF.
Checked Firewall settings, and made sure NoF is in the list of allowed.
I have turned off Fireall, Antivirus and AntiMalware programs.

    I am stumped.

Go to Advanced settings for your publish profile and toggle the setting for Passive Mode FTP.

was set to "passive ftp" so I unchecked and tried it...

    no luck.

did the same for another site...no change.

At first, NoF was not in the list of firewall programs, so i added it.
I've never been in the windows firewall settings before
so i am unfamiliar with any of that.
But as I said, when I turn off Windows Firewall, it doesn't help.

When you test the connection from Publish, does it connect?

    nope...
    I have tried publish-settings-test connection.
I have created new profiles and tried test connection.
I tried connect in the file explorer window.
And I have tried to publish updates remotely.

    Local publish works fine.
I have tried checking all web host/profile/connection settings...all look as they should be.
I have tried the passive FTP thingy.
I created a new profile as SFTP...didn't work.

My email works, internet connection works, browsers work, other programs that connect to the net work,
    dropbox works, etc...
this is NoF not connecting to the net.

I reinstalled NoF hoping it might go back to default settings. No difference.
    Just installed update 5...no change.

I am currently installing NoF on my laptop...gonna copy over one of my website files
    and give it a try.

I've never had an issue with the built-in FTP in Fusion. And I've been using and supporting the program since Fusion 3.

Very few users have trouble. So you're in a select group. Has to be something in your setup... or perhaps there is an issue with the info you're putting into the ftp settings.

Wouldn't be the first time a user has inadvertently entered the wrong ftp directory path on the server.

    Thanks guys

I have tried another website...on another host...and it connected easily.

I went back in and checked the first two websites and different host connections (that won't work).
Its possible that one...last updated in 2011...has been changed by the owner. (I have a message into him now)

The other website...and three more important sites...are on my own hosting plan (at FXDomains).

It seems the problem is with my own hosting account.
My last website updates to this host were over a month ago.
And since that time, there have been some changes to their services.
So something has gotten messed up.

I just tried to create a new website...and new publish settings for the site...to a new folder in in my root directory.
    And it will not connect.
Making me believe that the problem must be with my host.

yes...I verified the user name, directory info and password.
I checked and rechecked those to make sure.

I have submitted a support ticket...hopefully i will find out something soon.
