in style view you should see all styles available in Nof, if they are missing you have a corrupt installation of Nof

do you see styles in style view when you start a new site?

when you found your missing nod, where was it? once you know, you would be able to see all associated folders with that site by following the path of the nod with windows explorer, it should show the following folders: Assets, Autosaves, Preview, Local Publish, Styles

as Anton has pointed out, you need all of the "bits" associated with the database file (the nod file)

This tutorial will show you what you are looking for.

ounce you find everything, you need to "copy" all of the folders and content within those folders to your Fusion install "user sites" folder.

Once you get humpty dumpty put back together again, export a template. This will save you days of effort next time you need to rebuild. Starting a site from template takes one or two seconds and everything is perfect every time.

    Dear all,

I'm having the same import problem. In my case, NOF apparently did not save the latest version of my website back to the nof file, so I'm in the strange position that I have an outdated NOF file with the recent version of the website in the associated local folder. Because I did a lot of changes, I'm asking if it is possible to generate a new nof file from the locat website. Import seems not to work.

    thanks

Did you upgrade to a newer version of Fusion then open the project directly from its old location?

If this is the case your project will be in the documents section for the OLDER version not the newer version.

    Thanks gotFusion for your reply.
No, the website was generated with NOF 2013. I did the last update in January, and wanted to add new features now when I came across this problem.

Does import work with NOF 2015?
    Thanks

Import has never worked. Even back in Fusion 5 when NetO tried to insert reams of proprietary code within the generated html to "try" and make it work

It is no longer even available as an option in the newer products.

    Fusion is a database program

The html is a "report" of the database

you cannot build a database from a report.

    Export a template

    Import a template

this works perfectly and always has

Thanks for your reply - I was in fear something like that would apply. I will manually recreate the site. I've purchased NOF 2015 meanwhile - in your expertize, would you try to fix the site in NOF 2013 first and then migrate to 2015, or the other way round?

    thanks

I'm not sure what is going on with your site project from your description.

what I am hearing is that you made changes/edits to the site and generated the html which shows the edits/changes but when you open the project in Fusion the edits are not there? Is this correct? If so I would look for a newer version of the project database file on your computer as you may have accidentally saved it somewhere else.

Use windows explorer and search for ????.nod where ???? is the name of your site project.

If you locate a file that is newer than then one you are using.

If you find a site project with a newer date (the one you opened that is not right will have the newest date but if it is old then ignore that date and go for the next oldest dated file).

You must MOVE/COPY the file to your user sites folder in the project name folder BEFORE opening it should you find it somewhere else on your computer
