    Default retrieve website files

Hi, I apologise if this has been covered somewhere else here, but I'm new to the forum.

I had to reinstall Windows 7 on my work desktop pc this week due to a botched upgrade to Windows 10, and forgot to backup my website files, having saved everything else!

Site was created in Netobjects Fusion 12, and is currently sitting on Blackfoot Hosting server at www.abbeyroadcentre.co.uk.

I have the ftp settings, but Fusion asks me for a 'Directory Path' and a 'Repository Path' in the 'Open from remote template' window. I think I know the 'Directory Path' as that relates to the ftp settings I have from Blackfoot, but I haven't a clue what a repository path is.

All I want to do is download the files back onto my computer so that I can continue to update the website. Any help would be very much appreciated, as I don't fancy having to reconstruct the site from scratch.

    Thanks. Andy.

Fusion is a database program that generates HTML as its "report"

You need to locate the database file which will be ?????.nod (where ??? is the name you gave your site project.

If you cannot locate that database file you would be best off starting a new site project and copy/paste the content into the new database.

Once you have it all together you can save the site as a template. This tutorial goes over how to export an existing database as a template

Once you have your template store it in a safe location as it is only a 4 mouse click event to build a Fusion site project from a template instead of one of weeks to copy/paste to build a new database from scratch

Thank you for your very helpful reply, which is very much appreciated. I thought I might have to re create the site, so I have upgraded to Fusion 2015, and this time I will follow the steps you have outlined to safeguard it for the future. Thanks again. Andy.
