Thread: NoF 2015 Carousel layout of images and caption. Align=??

  1. #1

Default NoF 2015 Carousel layout of images and caption. Align=??

The carousel is giving me sloppy results which I suspect is due to my failure to understand.

I would like the images to retain their original size when the carousel is larger than the image.
I would like the images to align with the top of the carousel; not the center.
I would like the caption ribbon to have rounded corners.
I would like the caption ribbon to be no wider than the displayed image.
I would like to style the caption including the font.
I can not find a place to make those choices.

Hello - Although I often use other gallery software (eg MagicHTML), I do find the Carousel pretty useful and quicker, despite its limitations.

I would like the images to retain their original size when the carousel is larger than the image.
    >>> untick the Fit to Carousel box - change the matte colour to suit your background.
I would like the images to align with the top of the carousel; not the center.
    >>> can only do this really I think if all images the same size.
I would like the caption ribbon to have rounded corners.
    >>> Don't think this is possible
I would like the caption ribbon to be no wider than the displayed image.
    >>> If you untick as above I think that would be the case.
I would like to style the caption including the font.

    Default Carousel Question!!!

I now have a question of my own.......is it possible to be able to click on a carousel image and link away to another website?
I thought maybe the forward action arrow but not sure what would go in there.

Please see previous post regarding caption.

For rounded corners, you can add border-radius to the same CSS rule (e.g. border-radius: 1em).

In the carousel inspector panel, go to the second page where the images are defined. Highlight an image and then click the Link... button.

When the Link dialog appears, change the link type to External Link, add the new link and click the Link button to close the dialog.

In the end I am looking at the layout region with tabs. That looks like it is a better fit for what I want to do, anyway.
