    Default Slow, slow, slow...

I just installed NOF 10. In the text mode now I can only type very slow
because any letter takes time to get in... The same the other way around in
deleting letters, digits, sentences. What could be the reason for?
    Need your help...
    Thanks, Christian

Do the text areas happen to be embedded in tables?

No, they are not embedded in any tables - just "basic text fields"...

    Hi
Can someone send a template to Support so we can take a look at your issue.
So far we haven't been able to duplicate this issue with some of our test
    sites here.

    Thanks

Here is a one page template with a large table. The problem is obvious when
you try to move the contents from one cell to another (depending on the
speed of the PC, between 10-16 seconds). This same template has zero delay
    in v8 and v9.1

    Hi Dave,

Took your template and gave it a whirl. (Last Beta Build). No problems at
all from a timing standpoint. I added two or three more rows to your table
and pasted at will without much delay.

To make things more interesting I copied the page and then pasted (10)
additional Child pages of the same page and then proceeded to cut and paste
additional table cells and rows on various child pages with almost instant
results. For the heck of it I then published (chewed some serious CPU's),
but compiled in about 1-1/2 to 2 minutes. Continued pasting more cells
    still with no problem.

Must be something related to the way some machines are setup. I'm using
WinXP Pro, 1gig of ram. Older machine (3 yrs) with a 3 Ghz Pentium 4
chip. Not much to talk about these days. Wish I had an answer.

I don't know either. Several other people tried this template and saw the
same delays that I'm seeing. As for the machines I'm running on all I can
say is that these two machines run this same template in v9.1 with no delays
    at all.

My main machine is also running XP Pro with 1 gig of ram.

I tried three different times to get someone from WSP to look at this, but
have never received any responses. Oh well.....

    Chuck,

As a point of clarification, the slowdown does not occur if you do a
copy/paste (Ctrl C, Ctrl V), it only happens when you drag the whole text
area (which in this case includes an image) from one cell to another. Did
you try this? On my fast machine this takes 8 seconds, on my slower one 16
    seconds.

    Ahhhhh.... You're right.

I was cutting & pasting. Using Drag & Drop I'm getting about 15 to 17
seconds to do the same thing. Real strange. At least you have an option
to Cut & Paste, (few more clicks), but well worth the time savings.
