True dat Mike. Time is money. I have never listened to "coders" when the technology has upgraded. When DOS was invented I listened to programmers to not use that, I'll lose what I'm doing. Then Norton Commander came out and I was told not to use that or I'll lose my DOS experience. Then Windows came out, well it keeps going on and on ... coders even told me not to use NOF, as you can see the coding stereotype goes on here too. Everyone wants to build the killer app and when someone does it, every other coder will say don't use it. The only thing that's ringing true in this thread is content and your customer won't give a flying fart how much you're able to impress yourself about your coding skills. They only want two things; delivery and results. Pays the bills every time. If you're not after customers, or you want to work with a marketing agency, by all means spend the time fashioning yourself as a coder. But I don't think you're the latter because you chose NOF wanting speed in your creations

Thanks Beach Ape, you know where I'm coming from
    Look at this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZyId8Y15YQ
Imagine how many new users would be rushing to buy NOF if there were more tutorials like this.
I really do think that they are not interested in selling NOF and that the team are all semi retired, because if they have made this video, then they know that it is possible to make videos, they have posted it on Youtube, so they know Youtube exists, they just aint interested?

    Hi Mike,

Please take a look at http://forums.netobjects.com/showthr...ideo-tutorials
John - I am born to tease, not to please.
For NOF beginners: read everything here and practice on mock web sites first.
Before asking a question, search to see if it has not been asked and answered already.

I like NOF, I hope they do something sometime in the future. Seems a shame really, they were always so far ahead of the pack and its so nice using NOF, its just this one "elephant in the room" that they don't realise is there. Now that well over 50% of web page views are on a mobile device, there's no really excuse.
(Unless they have given up of course)
Its like having an old piece of software around, that is nice to get out occasionally and have a play with, to remind yourself of how things used to be. I do that with Adobe Premiere 5 sometimes and remember how easy life was before everybody had 19:9 H.D. TVs.
Wake up NOF, everyone has a mobile device now (meant in a friendly way)

You can play that game all day but the fact is, change is inevitable and is exponential, at least where technology is concerned (there's a law that states it somewhere but I forget which one it is). I could long for the days before Andreessen & co brought out Mosaic and changed the internet for ever. Before then, if you could code a web site you were truly a master of arcane arts and in huge demand. The only browsers were Lynx (still going, by the way) and others written in various programming languages; grail, for instance, written in python.

Today almost every one can develop there own web site using a plethora of easy to use, drag and drop software, so much so there is little demand for the individual artisan web page designer and developer, only for IT project managers managing large teams of specialised developers for large corporations with lots of dosh.

The only market now for the individual developer is those people who are too lazy to take the time to learn even those simple programs. Thankfully there's enough of them around still to make a living for most small developers.

And some people, although very good business people in their own field, just about know how to switch their computer on!
