    I write my own back end and display pages in coldfusion but I recommend cushy or surreal to my customers as it is much easier to create cms content with them.

    notice that even the page name, title, and all meta tags, next previous buttons, etc, change based on what the site visitor wishes to view

    the two tutorial pages above are filled with content based on user selection.. Even the menu structure on gotFusion is created on the fly.

    I've used Snippetmaster in the past. Now I use Wordpress.

    Wordpress would be nice if it were not so bloated (it's everything for everybody)

    Take a look at Joomla. Much leaner and cleaner. Still a 10k # elephant when compared to what you can write yourself.

    CMS is not all that complicated. A few display pages and a back end capable of maintaining the database (add/edit/delete records). The rest is bloated fluff.
