Free to Version 9 Users

On October 10th I purchased the upgrade NetObjects 9. At that time I
paid $109 + Additional for the templates and the manual. Not two months
later there is a "NEW" Upgrade I am asking why I should pay another $109
for another upgrade. I have purchased every single version of
NetObjects Fusion since it's inception as well as many addons. I feel
that an upgrade this close to a previous one purchased should be sent
free to me and any others that have also purchased Version 9. The price
of $109 should be reserved for those that upgrade from Version 8 and
less. I have supported NetFusion through all of it's phases and use
it extensively for producing personal and commercial web pages.
Because we use it professionally I like to be able to use the most
current version. Bringing out another version, especially if there are
changes significant enough to merit a new version. so close to a
previous version should be offered to those that purchased the previous
upgrade as a free upgrade. What do you guys think?

It is admirable that you have stuck with NOF over the years and I
congratulate you for that, however, if you just bought it in October then
you were rather late upgrading (near a year after release)

Many software developers have a one year cycle for releasing new versions.
Most software vendors, NOF included, will allow free upgrades within that
version and you get special price for upgrading to the next version.

As far as I can see, WSP, falls within this scheme.

NOF 9 was released in the first couple of weeks or November, 2005 and
released version 10 in the approximately the same time in 2006 (a little
later) November 28, 2006.

NOF 10 is a major update, maybe even a greater slate of increased
functionality than NOF has ever offered in any new version.

In light of you making your purchase very late in the cycle, you should
maybe put in a trouble ticket and see what they will do for you or you can
wait to upgrade to version 10 until next October and then it will not seem
so close.
