Default how do I ftp publish

    ok
    THOUGHT it would be easy
    FTP option
    test WAS ok
*did get an error that folder was not found
can you tell me how to fix that part??
    my folders are root/pubic_html/domain name
    eg
    ABC.com is my root domain
and other URLs eg XYZ.com is mapped into public_html/XYZ
ie user can go to XYZ.com and my server points to the files in my public_html/XYZ folder
or they can go to ABC.com/XYZ

    BUT
the real problem is that the files would not upload
even though i passed the connection test

    help?

all files and folders from local publish are to be uploaded to public_html folder

what ftp software are you using? filezilla always works, make sure you use the correct connection settings, see attached

"Folder not found" will typically indicate that you are trying to publish to a folder that doesn't exist on the server.

For my addon domains, the domain subfolder includes the domain extension. I.E. /public_html/xyz.com/ Check on your host to see what the actual folder name is and make sure your publish settings match.

    sure - filezilla is EASY
    what I ALWAYS USE
    BUT
if NOF 15 FAILS TO MAKE LOCAL publish
    from a MANY YEAR bug
what am I to do besides build my site by hand then publish
    argh
this is why I was asking about using NOF built in publish settings ;P

also - FYI public_html is NOT the answer for all servers ;P
    ******
will try to add the public_html part next time
    (thought it would auto resolve)
funny, when NOF.FTP asked if I waned to create the folder
I said YES - but - it do not

No it's not. But it's the answer for almost all Unix servers. And if your production sites are not on a *nix server you should fire yourself for exposing your web site to hackers. :-)

Also, it sounds like your server file permissions could be preventing the creation of directories. Check them all to ensure you have 'write' access.

there must be a reason if local publish fails and it can be solved

but I have no idea at this stage what local publish errors or failures you get, can you provide screenshots

if it is a bug, I should know about it. I have never experienced that bug in the last 21 years of using Nof
