Default Cannot save site as a Template

After advice I have tried to save my site as a Template but it gives an error saying 3 assets are missing, copy them to the correct folder which I have done but it still says they are not there.
Also I cannot link the pictures for the SEND & RESET buttons to the buttons.
Picture shows the assets are where they should be.
    Am I missing something.

Over the years of using NOF, this becomes a reoccurring problem because assets usually are not put someplace where they are not disturbed by deletion or movement in the file system. I have not had the problem for a while so I have not had to fix the problem lately so I am rusty. But it seems the one fix that works the best is to delete the object that uses the asset and then add it back putting the asset in a better place like in a NOF folder if it wasn't there before.

yes, the missing asset's location for some reason has been cahnged.
You need to go to the page where the asset is used then use Browse under Properties to point to the correct current location on your computer.
If your site is large you can go to Assets tab, double click the asset (which will show 0kb size) and this will show which pages it is used on.

I have deleted the pictures for the buttons and I'm no longer using a picture but it still says they are not there.
Then I put them back and it still says they are not there.
When it says the main Banner is not there it is part of the site style.

Is there any chance that the object you think the error is referring to is really different object?

Well it's there in black and white with the full path to each one.
I tried deleting the banner, then said use a different site style (which it did including the banner) then I said use my site style again and it won't load up the banner. all the assets for the site style are in the same location including the banner.
I have found my site style (which is an edited Blog - Orange) and it is in the styles folder and all the assets are there.

I give up. Delete the whole site and do it over. That will fix it.

    OK
At last I've managed to save as a template, but it won't load as a template, I really don't see how this is the best way to Back-up

I saved as a Template then started NOF and clicked on load a Template, then I went to the save location and clicked on the zip file, then it was looking for a Nod File !!!
