Default Changing from 12 to 15 on a new laptop.

I’ve been working NOF 12 on an old XP laptop for years, but it's appallingly slow. I want to buy a new laptop with Windows 10. Can I install NOF 12 on this machine, or do I have to upgrade to 15.

You can... but would be better off with 2015. It's two versions newer and definitely runs well on Windows 10.

Yes, that’s the trouble, I’ve heard so many bad reports about 10 that I’m worried about going out of the frying pan into the fire, and it will cost me about $600 to do it. Still, it seems more logical to buy the 2015 upgrade when I get a new machine, then transfer my old 12 version. I’ve looked at the new features of 12 and I don’t need any of them.
Why is it better? Is it designed for the new 10?
