Now that's more like it! I now have Improved performance when working
with text and table objects and Improved speed of page generation and
switching of views. The improvements were so great that I am now
considering moving my other nod files to version 10.

Could someone compile a site that has 100 pages and let me know the speed?
Also how long does it take for v10 to show the html source?

    Thanx,

    Larry

I haven't built a 100-page site yet, but the program does not seem to
slow down as pages are added (...although in general, it is not as fast
as 9.) Prior to your asking the question, I had never asked v10 to show
HTML source, since there is no reason to do that and lots of reasons not
to... but I tried it just now and it took about 1/2 of a second. (For
viewing HTML, it makes more sense to "view source" when you look at the
    page in your browser.)

In a *much* earlier post, when the first complaints appeared about slowness,
    I sent a few people a template of a 200+ page site.
I was one of (possibly the majority? - getting ready to duck....) those who
did not experience any speed problems, and I've installed the latest update
5011 without problems. The site mentioned has some very large pages (by
request, not design) and performs without problems on my fairly low-spec
    computer.

I have never needed to view the html source in Fusion - the odd few
occasions I've needed to edit code on a finished page I've simply used
    Notepad.

LBA and Trimdoner, thanks for the info.

I am adding activeX controls, javascript, etc. into the html file and like
    to test it quickly.

Trimdoner, so the 100 page site compile fast.

The site in question is up to 214 pages now without any probs. Switching
between page views takes literally a second or two - a full local publish
(just done it out of curiousity) took 2mins 10sec on my 512mb AMD 2.4
Home page and masterborder have flash animations, and javascripts for pop-up
    windows.
