CoolMaps ProtectIt
I need help from anyone familar with CoolMaps ProtectIt. I just learned
from a client that it doesn't work with the new version of IE. She is
right, but I didn't know because I rely heavily on FireFox (which works
correctly). Is this a know issue and does anyone know of a setting in IE
that will permit it to work?
Thanks,
Keith

Re: CoolMaps ProtectIt
Hi Keith,
Just tried it and it works okay for me with IE v6. Haven't loaded the new
IE v7 yet, heard there were too many issues.
Do you have the GoldMine v9 edition of Coolmaps components ?

Re: CoolMaps ProtectIt
Chuck,
I purchased v10, but still using MX with discrete components while v10 gets
workable. Posted here because the other newsgroups are pretty dead
regarding Components. This problem with Coolmaps PROTECT IT may be
universal with IE7. It doesn't recognize the PROTECT IT code in such a way
that the Password Entry box never pops up. It just takes you to the
assigned ERROR page. Netscape and Firefox work fine.

Re: CoolMaps ProtectIt
Keith,
I discovered the same problem and contacted Coolmaps. They (Peter Skyker)
says they will not be fixing the issue. So consider this component dead.

Re: CoolMaps ProtectIt
Thank you, Dave. Maybe it's an IE problem and they will correct their
code.
