Default How to do fly outs in NOF 12

I canít find out how to put a fly-out menu on a single nav button. I have six pages which I want to fly-out when the button is moused over, then to be able to go to any one of the fly-out pages. Canít find it in the NO help anywhere.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

Click on your Navigation Bar and have a look at the Navigation Bar Probertites, General Tab, Click on Edit Custom. You will see a Custom Navigation Bar Structure screen where you can create the drop down structure just like for files! When you have created the structure go to the Navigation Bar Probertites, Style Tab and click on Advanced. You can then decide on how it displays, Vertical, Horizontal, Right, Left, Above, Below, etc!

    Thanks Warrenr for your reply.
Iím sorry, but I still canít understand it. Iím not even sure how fly-outs are supposed to work. I want to put three or four pages on a fly-out of one of my 20 odd navigation buttons, to be the same throughout the whole site.
I canít see how I can do this from the custom nav box. Do I have to shift all of the page buttons into the custom box, then post it on all pages?

Get the navigation buttons the way you want them on one page and just copy the Navigation bar to all the other pages! Have a look at this site I did using NOF 13, the About tab to see if this is what your looking for: http://www.elshaddaiministries.org.za/index.html

Yes sir, that's what Iím looking for, except my nav buttons are vertical down the left side of the pages. See my site at www.schooner-britannia.com
Iíve transferred all the pages over to the right panel on the Custom Navigation Bar Structure box, and added one of the pages I want to be fly-out using the add title button Ė is this correct?. Also what should the link type and target be set to?
I then went to Advanced Visual Style Settings and choose horizontal.
Then I returned to navigation bar properties, ticked fly out and auto close.
    Now what?
By the way, the fly out page Iím using as a test is published on my site.
Iíve also previously edited the Museum Site style I use to have only the Regular buttons. All the rest are removed and the nav buttons work fine, does this screw up a fly-out though? Is there a fly out button Iíve deleted?
Sorry to put you through this, Iím actually not a thick Brit, but I canít find the procedure anywhere in NO instructions or furums.
    Regards ROGER.

Have you been through the documentation? What you are asking is basic use of NoF. http://wiki.netobjects.com/Table_of_Contents

Yes Franko, I have investigated this source and others, but I havenít been able to find a definitive answer so far. I have used NOF since 2, but Iíve never needed to use fly-outs until now.
Iíve followed all the instructions I can find, including warrenrís, but without success.
Iím actually wondering if I might have a computer conflict. Iím still on XP with Explorer 8, and I get a Flash notice every time I use NOF 12.
    Any input will be appreciated.

If you want a reliable browser so you can actually judge a websites behavior, you really need to get rid of XP. Browsers don't work well anymore on XP since nobody is updating their browsers for XP anymore except Opera. I also use XP but I have available win 7, win 8, win 10 type OS using current browsers so I can check how my sites behave. I also have VB on XP running Ubuntu 16.04 with an updated Fire Fox browser so I can get around the XP situation.

MS IE 8 is a terrible browser. I don't know how you even get it to work properly. I gave up on IE 8 years ago and so did most everybody else. If you can't find specifically in the wiki a certain functionality of NOF, it probably won't do what you want. By going into the properties for a certain function, you will see what it can do and therefore, what it can't. There is not any hidden or secret functionality. I can't remember any NOF capability that wasn't in some way mentioned in the wiki. Don't use the help menu, I think it's actually the help menu for NOF 12.

I am right now using Ubuntu on XP with FF 58.0.2 and it works perfectly even though FF says it's "terribly out of date" ??? XP now only will work with FF 52.9.0esr. That is end of the line for FF on XP. (It seems FF does make some very minor upgrades occasionally for that version but nothing major.) But that version of FF probably will work better than IE 8

I just noticed you are using NOF 12. Look at the wiki for NOF 2015 and see if it will do what you want. Using 2015 may be the only solution.
