Table & Text problems
I am using NOF 10, Update 1. It is still very slow. In fact there is a
noticeable time gap for many many operations.
1. When choosing the table border color, first the colors do not show
clearly in the layout area, then there is a gray background color still
with the border, and the inside border lines continue to be gray.
2. If you create a bullet and do a text paste, it automatically breaks
the bullet and moves the pasted text to the next line. However if you
enter something as the first character it does the paste fine.
3. What is Fit Cells in the table menu? I noticed there is Fit to
Contents in Help, is this same. Is there a way to automatically adjust
the column width to its content.
Thanks.

Hi Rajeev,
It would help to solve your problem if we could see the published code
of the page(s) you are having this problem.
Here are some general tips:
1. Don't use the table properties interface to set cell border colors.
Instead, use CSS. (NOF's table properties seem to still mix old HTML 4
table formatting with CSS, and you can get weird results.)
2. If you are pasting text content from MS Word or another windows
application, make sure to set you paste options to "plain text". Then
format the text as a bullet point in NOF. Otherwise the formatting from
Word messes up NOF's text formatting.
3. The help is a bit out of date. Can you tell us more about what you
are trying to do here?

1. Ok, I notice the changes. I had just set cell space to 0, and picked
the border color. That's why it showed grayed solid line around table
cells with different table border color. It seems one can make
individual cell border lines of different types through CSS Common,
Border button. However, is it possible to have cell space value 0, and
have the inside cell borders of same color as table border in one
settings. Doing individual settings for each cell is an overkill.
Essentially a table with border and inside lines of same color.
2. I think I got the text issue straightened out as you suggested. For
unformatted text it pastes ok. However even though I set the default to
unformatted text, when doing simple paste it treats it like formatted
and shifts the text to the next line.
3. What I meant that suppose I have text in table cell that wraps around
in two lines. Now if I select Fit cells it does not show the content in
one line. Can it be done?
Thanks.
