Default UK Gambling Commission public consultation

Just in case people are not aware, the Gambling Commission conducts public consultations on the dangers of gambling and interventions. Here is a link in case someone wants to leave their own comments (you don't have to answer all the questions, but, for example, you may find page 7 or 11 relevant):

Interestingly, they use the term "spend" instead of "lose", not quite understanding what it should mean. This approach seems to be open to a lot of false positives:
Amounts spent compared to other customers
The amount of time spent on gambling

I was going to make a video encouraging participation.
I would assume that most politicians and legislators have no idea that betting exchanges exist at all!

I too am quite skeptical about all of this. It seems like they are taking the wrong measures. They shouldn’t forcefully “detect” problem gamblers. They should provide a place for people who identify that they have a problem to get help without feeling ashamed. It should also be encouraged. Many people don’t admit that they have a problem because they feel it paints them as weak or inferior because they fell into this addiction. They feel like they would be showing that they are not functional members of society. This stigma should be lifted off all addictions btw. They are doing it all wrong. I have been gambling here https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/casinosnotongamstop.uk for more than a year and can say with confidence that I am not addicted.
