Setup.exe is a software file commonly found on the Windows operating systems. It is a .exe type file, meaning that it is executable. This file is commonly used by software programs for installations and used by your operating system to run critical components.

    File Location: On Your Computer
    Step 1
Power your computer on. Allow it to boot up fully before continuing.
    Step 2
Click on the start menu in the lower left corner of your screen. If You are running Windows XP, click the "search" button. For Windows Vista/Windows 7 users, the bar at the bottom of the menu will be used.

    Step 3
Type "setup.exe" into the search field. For Windows XP users, hit the "enter" key once you type this. For Windows Vista/Windows 7 users, it will automatically start searching for you.

    Step 4
Double click on the proper setup file once the list finishes populating. It will now begin running, and you may need to follow certain prompts to finish the setup.

    I hope this is helpful!
