    Default Ammeter wiring

Can anyone tell me which wires go to which terminal of the ammeter (Ruby'37, positive ground). I took it out 6 months ago and lost the notes I made!

    I have:
white and black, which I think is from the starter and should be-very
thin red for the instrument lights, which I assume-ve
also heavy black wire, which I assume +ve and ...
heavy purple and white wire, both of the latter disappear into the loom.

The wiring diagram shows one wire going to the center terminal of the light switch /ign, but on mine it is an empty terminal.

I wish I could read the wiring diagrams as you do, in my childhood it was my passion, I took an electrician class when I was a teenager. About four years ago I bought a house for my daughter in the US in Atlanta, I really planned to do all the wiring by myself but I failed, so we called electricians, these guys https://bates-electric.com/locations/charleston-sc/ if somebody will need they work across almost all the US, sure they did a good job better then I could do, funny but there was a guy called Juido, from India I guess, he was a coach by his vocation, he enjoyed so much to explain to me all he has been doing when I was asking something, respect to him, it was a pleasure for me to remember something from my childhood passion

Oh, man, are you sure you don't want to contact a specialist? I wouldn't do anything related to electricity if I weren't skilled. Even when I bought a Solar power station, I was pretty scared to use it at first, but then I understood that it wasn't something to worry about. But in your case, it's not quite like that.
