    Default Liability Insurance - again.....

With Covid restrictions (performance-wise) easing in my area it's time to "step back into the ring" as far as sound production.

My liability insurance policy has run May 1st to April 30th since I started doing sound.
Fortunately I did not re-up last year's policy as there was no work for me....

I have made the conscious decision to perform more (as a musician) this year rather than do sound but I plan on still doing my few annual sound-gigs...
    so
it's time to shop-around for liability insurance.

I am looking for the usual civic-friendly spec: 1 million dollars per occurrence, with 2 mil. aggregate for a one-man/part time operation. I don't "fly gear", etc. as my work is at the one-off / local level.
I have never had an incident where a claim was filed.

I could go back to my usual provider but it's always good to shop around.

    What do you use?

I was really looking forward to when it would be possible to perform as before, so I decided to save up money for new instruments for myself. Fortunately, my musician friends advised me Victor C Knight Insurance to get insurance from them for all their vintage guitars that cost about 25 thousand dollars. I've been saving up for these guitars for a long time, and when it was time for concerts, I took out insurance from this company. And for several months now, everything has suited me so far. I didn't even have to contact my insurance agent, who constantly advised me, I was able to arrange everything myself at last.

Good to know but I want to ask a question about insurance. Can you tell me how to choose a good insurance company for getting insurance? recently I get insurance from a Commercial Insurance Broker please check this company and tell me my decision is good for my future. I'd be nice if you reply me.

Hey, welcome back to the world of sound production! It's smart of you to think about liability insurance as you start taking on more gigs. Protecting yourself and your business is crucial. While I can't recommend any specific providers, I highly recommend checking out https://ibgportland.com. They specialize in insurance plans for one-man/part-time operations like yours, offering comprehensive coverage options tailored to your needs. Take a look and see how they can assist you in finding the right liability insurance. Best of luck with your upcoming gigs and keep rocking the sound scene!
