Not sure. There's no provision in NOF to amend the code on the hotspots,
and it may be one of those things, like trying to get links in a
drop-down list to open in a new window. I'll look into it.

Use the Hotspot tool to create the link as always.

After you click Ok, select the Hotspot you just created then click the HTML
    button on the properties palette.

You should be able to put the rel="lytebox" there (right inside the link
    code)

A quick test/local publish here seemed to put the code where it should go.

    Does that help?

    Mike, Charles,

I am trying this same thing in v10 and yes you can put the rel="lytebox"
inside the 'tag' within the hotspot tool; but not inside the 'link'. It
opens the bigger picture in the browser with the former..
    -
    Does that make sense?

    Hi Bert,

I did some research and it turns out that Lytebox is not currently
    compatible with image maps.

Some Googling came up with the mods for the lytebox.js script (attached)

It works fine here in V10.

All I did was create the hotspot and link that to the larger image, then
after clicking OK, I click the HTML button. Next I click the "Inside Tag"
tab and put this in place:

    rel="lytebox"

The code that NOF generates for the area map is then:

    <area shape="rect" alt="" title="" coords="24,26,56,57"
    href="./fk_mantis.jpg" rel="lytebox">

(as you can see - the "rel" statement is where it needs to be.

    That works here.

Give it a shot (save a copy of your original lytebox.js of course) and see
    how it goes.

    :-)

Guys...I suggested Lytebox way back at the top of this thread!

I experimented with a few of the different variations of Lightbox. I think
it has something to do with the Scriptaculous JS that the others use but
Lytebox doesn't. It has combined all the necessary code into one JS file.

However, CSS issues really infer that you have a conflict of names in your
CSS though. It may have been as simple as renaming that item in your CSS
    file.

I've tried several of them too.

There are quite a few and a lot of variations for sure.

But Lytebox is a good one - I like it.

When I looked at Mike's first post I checked the naming and did not see any
obvious conflicts (the scripts seem to use their own styles and NOF does
    too).

It may have been a conflict in the JS somewhere.

Anyway, Lytebox seems to be working for him and with the modified version I
posted he can do the hotspot (image maps) too.

I got that too, and for that I thank you as I am working on a specific
project that I need hotspots and Lytebox for and had trouble working that
out! It's all in the timing

    Glad to help out JJ.

I had some ideas on what might be the problem (and what to look for) since
one of our new upcoming products builds and uses image maps.
