While this is getting a bit off topic, increasing the saturation for
thumbnails is an interesting concept. I will have to try that one.
Thanks.

Hmmmm... comparing the two, on my monitor the modification looks
over-exposed and stark. If it was indeed such a bright scene, the sky and
water would be quite blue. Maybe its just my monitor though, but you have
given me an idea: I'll try lightening and increasing the contrast of the
foreground (Levels). What do you think? Thank you for your attention to
this-- I appreciate your time.

Perhaps not the foreground that may lighten the trees which frame the
picture when dark. Then again, I don't know how the photo software
figures out the difference between fore and middle ground. Is simply
taking more pictures, or cropping harder not feasible? It is snowing
today, so I would not be able to redo a nice spring shot if it were local.

My software hasn't a clue about foreground/background; I would do this
manually.
But, I think you have the right idea about taking more pictures. This one
was taken in late afternoon, and is facing north/. To get the setting, one
must stand with a hill of tall conifer trees immediately behind him (no
light). Perhaps I should get down there in the moring and try some different
exposures. The season isn't really important unless you're looking for
flowers and bathing suits/muscle shirts; most everything stays green
year-round here. The same shot from the water is disappointing-- too many
houses on the shore.

Hey WaterSpider, (and any one else)
Please make suggestions as to what I can do to make this site very
pleasing to the eye and professional. I want it to be my best website.
it is still in the subdomain. www.saveourbees.creationtidbits.com
Thanks,
Micah

My first thought upon seeing the page is the same background color but
in a nice soft texture instead of just plain color.

Hmmm, like a sheetrock type of thing? I am getting PhotoShop CS2 on
Monday, and I will finally be able to do stuff. Any examples?
