    Richard,

Thank you for your words and your time to answer.
    Your advice is well taken.....
And you surely are right I should have been more carefull.
But, having my longtime experience with Netobjects, I would have never
    expected this to happen....

However, though I have a part of my problems myself, and Microsoft may have
either, this does not release Netobjects to help his customer in trouble,
    does it ?

    Kind regards,

    Marcel

    Thank you Adam for reacting.
I see you are quite forgiving to my tone of posting.
I hope you can feel into my frustration.

I do not understand the status though.
I DO have an open ticket, it has number: GHL-43087-417 and their must be
almost a dozen emails in it from me and from your Support employees.
I have attached a screenprint of the Open Ticket History.

As you can see, the status is still "Awaiting Fix".
Last update was from me, on 17 april 2007 with no answer yet.

Although I am very pleased with your reaction now, you must see that this is
    not the way to go.
    What went wrong ?

I will try the patch, and most certainly correct my posting if proven
    wrong.
But I am not responsible for the way support has dealt with my ticket as
stated above, and that needs some attention too, I think.

Kind regards, and again thanks for the response,

    Marcel Onck

Well said. I for one never buy a brand new release until I am certain that
it will work for me. I want to buy CS3 but I'm waiting on that too.

    Default Betr.: VISTA ALERT!

Thanks, Waterspider, and all of you responding.
I must say all of your tones of voice are surprisingly understanding.
    Thank you all for that.
I sort of expected you guys to explode on me for my criticisme, but hoped
you would share my frustration and you apparently understood where it was
    comming from.
It can be that there just went something wrong in the way my ticket was
    handled, that could easely be.
I hope Netobjects will sort it out en correct whatever went wrong to prevent
this from happening again in the future.

All of you are also basically right about not leaving a sound ship to
migrate to something that has not proven itself.
I also am aware of the image of Microsoft in that field.

But in my defense (....) I must say XPS2 was not a sound ship for me
anymore, it was corrupted that much it wouldn't shut down or restart
anymore, and I took my chances to jump to Vista. Which sort of worked for
the OS, because my problems with that disappeared..... to make place for
    totally new ones.....

Thank you all for contributing, I appriciate that.
I will follow advice and download the patch. When it works, I will let you
know. When not, I will let you know too.

    Kind regards,

    Marcel Onck

    Hi Adam,

Please also read my other response, which did not end up under your remark,
    sorry.

I just installed the beta release 2, and the problem has not gone, but still
    exist.
I was able to make a screenprint of the error message, and have attached it
    here on this message.

Can you please help me with this before all of my hair has gone.....

We've all had frustrations at times. As for Vista, I still remember Windows
    ME.
Fortunately, I have 2 machines. One running XP, and the other dual booting
to XP or Vista. Now I'm off to see if the latest update stops NOF10 crashing
    every 10 minutes.

    Hello Marcel,

There is no need for us to take anything you say personally, we do not work
    that way!

At any rate I have a request to the dev team for a status, I do know that
this has been submitted and that they are actively researching the issue.
Once I receive something back, hopefully by COB, I can provide more details
(though I cannot guarantee I will have much info). We do appreciate your
patience. I will be dealing with your case from this point so I should be
in regular contact via the support channels.

Did you check <Control Panel><System><Hardware> to see that your all your
    devices have appropriate drivers?

I had nightmarish *issues* with Vista for about a week or so then dumped it.
    Back
    to old XP.

Luckily I retained the Dual Boot option.

    Default Re: VISTA ALERT!

Add my vote to that, too. XP Pro will suit my needs for at least 12
    months, maybe longer.

Not only am I wary of any new OS, I don't like a lot of the crap built
into Vista that's designed to prevent me from using my own property in
the way I want to use it.
