Import from Frontpage

Before I started to use NOF my site was built with MSFrontpage. Now as I
like things clean and tidy <g> I tried to import the old pages, so that
everyting should be editable with NOF10.

Of course it was a total mess (as I in a way expected). I tried Import HTML.
I even made a zip file and tried to import as template (I knew this was
foolish even before I started).

Now is there an elegant way to do this or am I in for a lot of manual
editing?

Any ideas?

I think you already know the answer to this question.
FP is an html editor; NOF is an html generator.
They don't speak the same language.

Depending upon the complexity of your old site, you might be better off
recreating your site from scratch in NOF. Trying to import a FP site would
potentially involve a LOT of manual work.....and most likely would import
"problems" as well. Since you have to do a lot of manual work either way, I
would suggest recreating the site. But that's just me.....

Once it is done, You wil bi delighted. It is a fantastic program. It is mi
first site made with Fusion. It is very user-friendly.

Please advise, From what I read Netobj Fusion 10 does/will not import from frontpage 2003. Is this correct? I have many frontpage sites and I was told this was a nice product to switch too. On my FP sites I have forms, realmedia video, wmv, mov files, default.asp as the home page and html for everything else. site names are www.santaanainsight.com and www.santa-ana.tv and I have not been able to even get an import to start. thanks for any suggestions.

You read correctly. Fusion has an import from HTML feature but it is less than stellar in the results.

The best way to get content from HTML is via copy/paste. Set up a site in Fusion then just copy/paste the content from the live web site directly into Fusion. It does not take much time to do this and an average 10 page web site can be completed in half an hour.
