Access denied error on the rollerver.js in Vista
Hi there,
I've just setup NOF 10 onto Vista.
I get the following error when trying to perform a local publish on any
page.
Can't copy file: C:\Program Files\NetObjects\NetObjects Fusion
10.0\NetObjects System\rollover.js
Access is denied.
Once I close the message box it ends up local publishing the page but the
nav buttons rollover does not work.
Any ideas on what's causing this error?
Thanks
Steve

yes, be sure your internet options are like this

this is a must in order to test anything locally

Re: Access denied error on the rollerver.js in Vista
Thanks Anton, I changed internet options as suggested and restarted NOF 10
but had no luck.
After reading the newsgroup about people having issues solved by starting up
NOF 10 by the 'run as administrator' option ...I tried that and it worked!..
I wonder how many more issues I'm going to have with NOF and Vista even with
update 2
Cheers,
Steve
I re startedran as Administrator and it worked !

Steve,
This is something that WSP will have to fix by putting that file (and
perhaps others) in a different location and doing the copy from there.
By default under the Vista security rules programs are not allowed to copy
anything in or out of the Program Files folder...
The Run as Administrator is just a bandaid and not a permanent fix as not
all users will have the option of enabling it.
I'm sure that WSP will adapt to it, but they like all companies are still
having "growing pains" as we setting into the new world of Vista.
Good luck on your projects!
Charles
