Default VISTA and NOF - publishing impossible!

I've been a NOF user since ver 3.5, but never experienced problems such as
these I have now with ver 10 (update 2) installed on my Vista desktop.

I cannot find any postings dealing with the issues below, but if they
already have been discussed, please let me know.

I'm running the application as administrator and my account is an admin
    itself.

    1. Unable to publish to remote webserver using ftp due to access denial
messages related to css-files, graphics and other imported element. It does
not matter if they are located within the program directory or on a network
    drive.

    2. Unable to publish directly to our local webserver (both through ftp and
    directly to network drive).

In both cases, the application has no access to any of the objects that
should be published. Not even those located on network drives that the user
has access to. The message says:

    "Can't copy file: F:\Designbibliotek B\Flagg\icons\no1.gif. Access denied."

The user (me!) has full access to the F drive in this case.

The strange thing is that we are able to publish to folders on local drives
and all other folders on network drives.

Any ideas how to solve these issues???

    Hi Thorbjorn,

I don't recall ever seeing a NOF version 3.5, but that might be a
language thing (I have always used English versions of NOF ). No matter...

    Two suggestions:

1> As long as I can remember, NOF tech support has said "don't use
network shared directories in your projects". Put everything related to
your projects on your C drive, and back up project templates to the
    network (file, export template).

2> If you are able to publish your site to a local drive, use a
third-party FTP tool to upload the files from your /local publish
    directory to the web server.

Frankly, I quit trying to use NOF's built-in ftp since my first months
    with NOF version 3.0 (English).

    Hope that helps...

Hi, Karl, and thanks for your suggestions.

[I might be mistaken about the version no., It may have been ver 3 :-) ]

I have always used network drives without any problems ever. But; I'm even
denied access to locally stored files, including those generated by NOF
    itself!!

Using 3rd party FTP is of course a solution, and I have also used that as a
backup solution if NOF by any reason can't make it. But as long as the
software HAS this function, it should be working. So I hope for a solution
    on that anyway.

This morning I got RUNTIME ERROR when opening the application. I remember
reading in the forum about this, and reinstalled in the folder
C:\User\Public\NetObjects Fusion 10.0. I set up "running as admin" and gave
myself ALL rights to the program (Right-click/Properties/Security/Edit)

    And the result, huh? .....
Now NOF 10.0 (update #2) WORKS!
Even those problems I had with objects stored on network drives.
    Publishing goes smoothly as well.
