    Default Workspace problems

I've just upgraded from ver 9 to 10 and I'm having problem with workspace.
When NOF 10 starts I can't see the "Properties" and the other panels. I drag
and drop and finally all panels are visible the way I want. But when I
re-start NOF all these are lost and I have to do it again. Is it some
preference to "remember" the positions of the panels? I try to save the
workspace, nothing is saved. I try to load a workspace, I get the message
"Basic.xml is not found" What do I do wrong?
    Pls advise

    Chris

click save workspace as and type a name

then if you lose the workspace, simply reload it

also, make sure your most used property palettes are not set to autohide,
the pin should be facing vertical

    Anton,
Thanks for your answer. But I can't save the workspace (seems that NOF
cannot write to disk, eventhough the directory is read-write).
Another problem I face is that Its not possible to view Styles and I cannot
edit the one that I'm working on.
    Do I have to re-install NOF ?

are you using XP Pro or Win2k?

if using Vista, I think you may experience a few problems? have you got the
    latest update for your Nof?

the fact that you can't view styles leads me to believe that you may not be
running Nof as administrator or that your installation is corrupt, you can
uninstall/reinstall, should not take long and than apply the latest update
    patch

    Anton,
    I use WinXP.
I uninstalled and reinstalled NOF 10 but the problem remains. When I go to
Styles section I only see a orange area and the Style buttons are ghosted.
Also when I exit NOF I get "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library "error".
