    also, it could be that one of the dll did not get registered during
    installation

    is html source view working or is it also blank?

    was the hidden Temp folder empty prior to Nof10 installation and prior to
    applying update patch?

    I used Firefox as preview browser, but the problem remains. Also, every time
    i exit NOF I get "Microsoft c++ runtime " error message.

    be sure your logon account has full administrator rights, make sure Internet
    Explorer is the default browser, so if you click any html link anywhere, IE
    should open, if not, then IE is not the default browser

    1. uninstall Nof
    2. empty hidden temp folder
    3. install Nof10 but don't start it
    4. empty hidden temp folder
    5. install the latest patch
    6. start Nof

    if all the above fails, I will find out which dll is responsible for style
    view and provide a manual way to register via start/run

    Hello Chris,

    It sounds like an XML file that Fusion looks to on startup may be corrupt.
    Our engineers suggest the following steps to correct this.

    To fix the issue, it should be enough to manually load a workspace file
    Step 1 view->workspace->basic
    or Step 2 view->workspace->advanced
    Failing this, a reinstall of Fusion would fix the XML file.

    Before doing the reinstall, we recommend you to backup any changed Site Styles,
    and your Project Files (by Exporting the Sites including your publish profiles).

    Let us know if this is resolved, if not please stop by http://support.netobjects.com
    and establish a case so the engineers can help you further.

    Regards

    Chris

    Dear Chris,

    I've tried to load the Advanced workspace, but I get the message
    "Advanced.xml not found", but the referenced xlm exists in C:\Program
    Files\NetObjects\NetObjects Fusion 10.0\NetObjects
    System\Profiles\???????\Layout. When I try to save a workspace, nothing is
    written in the disk.
    Also when I exit from nof, I get the "runtime C++ library" error
