    Default Embedding video clips

I have 2 video clips (.avi format) that I want to show on a page, they are
not too large - 8 mb & 11 mb - I'm using the Windows Media player to show
them but they are slow to load.

Any suggestions as to the best way to get them playing quickly ??

    Thanks
    Kev

    Yes, convert to Flash.

    Take a look at
    http://www.prestoninternational.co.n...land_news.html

This began as 113 Mb of video which I converted to Flash using tools
from Swishmax. Flash file size is still 15 Mb, but sure loads a lot
faster than using avi and relying on WMP.

    Cheers

    David

Thanks for that David, I use Swishmax alot but can't see how to import an
".avi" file and convert to SWF.
Can you tell me how please ?

    Hi Kev,

I may have misled you slightly.

The product I use is Swish Video2, from Swishmax.com.

Download the trial and give it a bash.

    Good luck

I second this - I use it and it works great. Convert the video, put it
in a flash movie or use a FLV player and it works flawlessly.
