Default How to make phpbb forum part of my netobjects website?

    Hi,

I use Netobjects Fusion 10. My webhost is Bluehost. I am a little
confused and need some help. I have created my pages with netobjects
fusion but through my webhost I have installed some server side
scripts such as PHPBB (forum). I wanted to know how to integrate or
connect to my server side forum from my local netobjects fusion.

I tried to create a php connector but can't get it to work
correctly.Since PHPBB uses SQL Database (both reside on my web host)
and I have little experience with either, I am not even sure if what I
am trying to do is possible. Is there something I have to do on my
local computer to make this possible?

I'd like to integrate my phpbb forum into netobjects locally to fit
the design of my site. I hope this makes sense.

    Thank You
    Terryrw

    Three options...

    1) just use external links to go from the main site you do in Fusion to your
phpBB forums. That's what we do on BeyondFusion foro ur forums.

    2) place the forums in an iframe on a page you design in Fusion. This is
    pretty easy to do.

    3) Do what you're doing. Certainly possible if you know what you're doing...
but why go through all the effort?

How would I do option 2? Since the phpbb code is in it's own foler
wont I mess up the directory structure by placing the code in the page
and uploading it as a new page? Can you explain?

An iFrame (short for inline frame) is used to include a web page within a
web page. No pasting of code involved.

There's a code generator here that will give you some insight.

    www.beyondfusion.com/html/iframetool.php

Fusion 10 (updated) includes an iFrame tool now that can also be used.

Look at http://lordsladies.net and click on the forum button in the menu.
See if this is what you're after. I did it differently than what has been
described as none of the forum is on a NOF created webpage. The overall site
though, is totally created using NOF10.
On the forum page, it is simply a link to the php index file residing on my
server in a MySQL database I created. I uploaded all the forum with its
folders then simply made a link. No Iframes or extra web pages, etc except
for what came with the forum. All customization to the forum was done
through their admin panel which is uploaded to my site(except for a single
customized graphic at the top I altered).
I really like the Simple Machines forum boards. They're open source, easy to
customize if you aren't into doing full custom graphics. The Admin panel is
simple and easy to use. Best of all, it's free. They have detailed
instructions to set it up. If I can follow them anyone can.
I had this forum up and running in about 2 hours including customizing their
    logo at the top.
