    Default Batch Link Changing

I have been using NOF since day one and I have always wanted to be able to
change all my external links at once instead of going through every single page
    and doing it manually.

In other words. When I move my website from one place to another I have to
change all my external links to point to the new server I am moving to.

What I want to know is there any way to find links then replace them, like you
can do in word processors using the find and replace command, it seems like
this would be a no brainer but I have wracked my brain trying to find this
    feature and no go.

If anyone has any help I would appreciate it.

    Thank you.

    FF,

You're using free hosting so your URL can keep changing?

    hmmmmm

Anyway.... you make changes in Assets View on the Links tab that take effect
    globally.

As long as you save links when you add them in Design View and then reuse
those saved linos if you want the same link on another page.

If you don't save links, you're out of luck.

Thanks, let me try to explain a bit better.

I have several pages that have links when clicked open a new browser
tab/window, so the user remains on my site but gets the link info in a new
    tab/window.

Those are the links I always have to change if I change servers. I just need to
change part of the link, as an example.

The original link may be www.server1.com/teddiebears/index.html the new link
    needs to be www.server2.com/teddiebears/index.html

Is there a way to simply replace the first part of the link and not have to go
to every page and manually do it.

I had tried doing this on the assets page many times, but I cannot find any
type of global option to rename links or partial links. I can see all my
external links but I can find no option to modify them globally.

I am not quite sure what you mean by saving your links, I do save my site and
all my links are in assets view I just want to know if I can do what I
described in one batch process instead of going to each page finding the link
    and cutting and pasting normally.

    Thanks again, hope that helps.

I'm not sure I'm understanding either. Are you using a registered domain
name? If so then you would just repoint your DNS from one host to the other
and no need for any site-wide changes. If you're not, it's worth the
    $10/year to do so.

At any rate, the one tool I can mention that would let you make global
post-publishing changes as you describe is Coolmaps CodeTweaker.
    http://club.coolmaps.com/component_detail.cfm?nfx=32 Despite how outdated
their site is their components do work with NOF 10.

    Hope that helps.
