    Default Spam from form

I made a form in NOF using the form tool. I did not make it with the NOF
Form handler component. I have been receiving spam and would like to know if
there are any tricks to do/use or advise that will eliminate this problem.

    TIA
    Brian

The best way I found to defeat spam bots is to have a captcha page in
front of the form. This way the bot doesn't even get to the form.
Run a Google search for captcha. There are several sites that offer
scripts you can use. My server has php so that is what I use.
If you use the NOF form handler component, it will have the option of
    including captcha.

I just did this last nite
(added a captcha page in front of the 'form page')
not easy - as I wanted the captcha page to include the same style/look/feel
    of the web site
and not just be a plain page
    I DID get it done
but - had to recode my navbar links by hand
(because the captcha page had to have embedded php, which required me to
change the extension from html to php)

    I am thinking a re-direct might work
ie - keep the original page in the nav bar
but have it redirect to a php page
then when captcha successfully completed, send onsuccess to form page
    testing that now

    just did a little test
ratehr than remak/edit all my links
you can make a new page
eg , in my case - it was the products page
    which I 1st changed to products.php
then had to edit all the nav button in all the html pgaes that had products
    button in the NAV bar
    BUT
it was easier to make a new page called products.php
    AND a page called products.html
in in the products.html page // just placed a "redirect" into the
    products.php
