Default Outlook Express News Reader ?

Anyway when Resetting my NOF newsgroup that I can force ALL of the the
message bodies, (many I know), to download to make it easier to search the
New Group for relevant info ? Usually a reset only downloads the headers
and the search function is pretty much useless.

You should be able to right click on the NG & choose "All Messages" per
    attached....

    Thanks Garret,

I tried that but it seems I can only "find" on items that are within the
last month or so. For example searching on the word "the" (in every
post), only lists posts for the month of March though I've reset and
    sychronized for ALL messages.

In particular I was looking for posts regarding CMS (content management
systems). Someone had made a recommendation of a CMS that also came with
many other applets/components for all sorts of extra functionality and I
thought I'd try to find it. Can't remember if it was in the v10 or v9 posts
but without a decent search I'll never find it.

    Hi -

I bet you're only getting some of the msg's. Take a look at the attached
(Tools, Options) & set that # to 9999 (that's the max).

Once you've gotten those, I think you'll find that when you right click on
the NG & choose Synchronize, you'll get an option to download the next 9999.
Or is that Thunderbird? I think it's both, but give it a try!

OE does not make it easy....

Do you have GotFusion access? You could search Mike's website version of
    these newsgroups.

Thanks Nancy, forgot about that option.... registered a long time ago but
hadn't used it in a long time. Always liked the way OE listed the posts.
For some reason it doesn't download the message bodies even though I have
that checked off. Frustrating. I found what I was looking for using
    GotFusion. (EditWrx)

    Thanks again.
    C~
