Default OT: Google 'lost' my site

Years and months one of my site has been number one or at least in the front
page in most of it's main search words. Even it's domain is exactly like the
main word we want to get in search. From Google we have got like 15% of our
    visitors during the years.

Now from the first of this month I notice that from Google we get only like
2% of our visitors. I made the google search with all the main words and
result was zero, google didn't show us at all anymore. Not even with the
word which is our domain. It seems that it is impossible to get any search
result from our site. Like our site would be totally vanished from their
    database.

What has happened? What have we done? Is there any way to get back to their
    lists, any ideas?

Check out http://www.google.com/webmasters/ and ensure you are not breaking
any of their guidelines. If they discover you are in violation you will be
removed. Keep in mind that a competitor could even turn you in. I had a
similar issue years ago at http://www.gentryfoto.com and my offense was
putting faint text at the bottom of my screen. I fixed the problem and
petitioned for resubmission. All is good now.

    Thank you for the link!

It seems that google still index our site, but strange thing is, that not
the main domain front page at all. We have domains Mysite.eu, Mysite.org and
Mysite.info, and that Mysite.info is the main domain and all subpages are
under that. Google refuse to show Mysite.info front page totally, but show
the page with those another two domains... Really strange. But as there are
no child pages for those two domains, search results are very bad.

Their admin tools tels that Mysite.info is indexed with no problem, but
still I cannot get any search results from it. Only if anohter pages has
links to it, I can see those pages, but not mine at all.

    Strange thing really.

For comparison, check your site on Yahoo and MSN.

When Google adopts a new algorithm, it often sends once well-ranked sites
into limbo for a time. Keep checking. It could be lost today and back near
the top tomorrow. It could be that they are placing more value on sites
whose content is updated regularly, or who have many backlinks from
well-respected sites. We don't know what Google's thinking is. All we can
do is guess and if things get really bad, spend some money on keyword ads.

You were right. For some reason our site was totally away from the lists for
a month or so, but yesterday it came back to the lists and straight to the
    first place !?

    Do not understand.
