    Default NOF 11

Must be ESP - just popped over to the website and saw that v.11 is here...

Can't wait to hear about it.

I've been using v.10 almost exclusively and importing v.8 sites, BUT,
it's always a bit nerve-wracking that something will crash on me. It
certainly has happened - more than I care for. Like just now.

I can't afford to redo websites because they crashed in NOF for no known
reason. Certainly can't charge the client for my time - not their fault.

ANYway, didn't intend on this message to be a * session.

    I do look forward to v 11!
    Onward!

there was me thinking they'd wait 'til June...

The 'What's New' list looks intriguing; think I want to see a trial
version before shelling out $109.95 for the upgrade, though

I am HIGHLY suspicious of the actually code abilities....DW is far from
perfect with their AJAX and SPRY and they have been at this ALOT longer than
    NOF or WSP.

    Derek,

Only the ESD version is available at the moment.

Boxed won't be available until late June.

AJAX isn't rocket science. 11 has a lot of positive improvements over 10.

It's very fast and the design view interface has some solid new features
that make the program a pleasure to work with.

Hi Chuck, long time no type :-).

Does NOF 11 allow CSS-driven table-free layout, or is it still
table-bound? (I suspect not, otherwise it probably would have been
mentioned in the "what's new" page on the NetObjects web site...)

    Cheers,
    Karl

    Hey, Karl!

Yes, 11 can do XHTML with CSS for positioning DIVs. As one option.

I'd recommend using it for new sites only. Imported sites will be mostly ok,
but if the site came from pre-9.1, some simplifications may be needed if a
lot of nested tables were used originally.

Does 11 produce absolutely positioned or relative positioned CSS divs?

    Semantic XHTML

Here's an example of a div

    <div class="nof-positioning" style="width: 304px; margin-top: 91px;
    margin-left: 167px; ">
