    Default NOF 10 -- IE -- Firefox -- Vista

i have been struggling with a formatting issue for days now: >>>>the font
size formatting does not show up in IE/Vista, <<<< while it does in
Firefox/Vista and it also shows up in IE/XP....

while i have reset the preferred bowser to Firefox for my vista/NOF10
laptop, this has no effect on the "page view" of NOF10 on the vista laptop.
it must be defaulting to IE(?) in page preview. >>>>anyone know how to
    change that?
i am in touch w tech support about this issue, but hope that some of you
    have experience with this.

if you have the opportunity, check out this site
http://www.calkinsart.net/thumbsbeyond2007/ for visuals of what i mean --
the name is supposed to be in larger size font, but in Vista/IE it is all
the same size. i checked the html, and it does reflect different sizes.

Good semantic mark-up requires that your styles (font sizes, colors, etc) be
in your CSS; not your html page. Do use H1, H2 and H3 tags for important
text headings. Search engines give greater importance to keywords in your
headings too. Highlight your text, clear the style. Select H2 from the P
drop-down box. Local publish your site and retest. If you don't like the
style of H2, go to Style View and change it there.

thanks Nancy, i'll keep that in mind. -- it does make me wonder why all
those options are available, if i am not meant to use them.....? i was
previously advised that either way (CSS or html) was fine...

tech support asked me to do a 'save as" and load the NOF into
C:/Users/myname etc, but that didn't work. they also had me check
compatibility w XP, and open as administrator, but that way i couldn't open
    NOF at all .....

<grin> The old school ways die hard. IMHO inline text formatting boxes
should be removed from the software. </grin>

    CSS is your friend.

Sorry, I can't help you with your operating system problems. I'm staying
with XP until Windows 7 comes out next year.
