Default how to use a class element in CSS with nof

I know you can define styles etc. in CSS and classes but how do you use them
in the editor? I do not see anywhere that lets you select the class for an
    element such as a paragraph.

I know how to do that with DW but I also use NOF and should be able to do
the same thing. Is this available in nof 11?

    thanks

Make a custom class with Text > Manage Styles. Then highlight text on page
and from the text properties box, select the new class from the Style drop
    list.

This tutorial explains setting up new set of pseudo-classes for links class
in NOF. Skip to Step 7 to see how it is applied to link text.

Thanks...I was going to go play with nof to see if I could figure it out but
your advice will help save time.
I just wanted to add some text at the end of links to pdf files that will
tell folks that they are going to be getting a pdf file and it's size. It
is for 508 compliancy issues and using an icon from Acrobat is not an option
for the blind...needs to be text. I want that little bit of text to have
it's own size, color and font. Setting a class for it makes it easier.

    Thanks for the tip.

Just tried it and it works fine except it uses the span tag to for setting
class in a section of text. I hate the span tag but it makes sense.
I guess seeing style for the drop down threw me. I was looking for a class
    drop down.
    Thanks
