NOF 11 Upgrade :(

So I get an email form my long lost website building buddy NetObjects.

Apparently he has broken free of is dark overlord and gain his
independence. Yah!

To celebrate he invites me to purchase a copy of NOF 11 at a jailbreak
price. Woot!

After handing over my gold and downloading my upgrade I come to learn in
an email confirming my order that a FULL version license key will be
required to install the upgrade. WTF! Something he might have mentioned
before I handed over my gold.

Don't quite get NOF. It should be at the top of what's left of the HTML
generator heap but with stupid tricks like their upgrades it's no real
surprise people find alternatives.

Just thought I'd share.

There's nothing new there - that is the way NOF upgrades have always been.

It prevents people from buying "upgrades" who have never owned the full
version and aren't entitled to the savings.

It is also easier than requiring that the old version be installed in order
to install the upgrade (which some companies do).

If you don't have your full registration code just contact them and I'm
sure they can help you find it.

Don't buy the update - it won't work and you'll get NO support or info from
either netobjects or asknet AG.
I purchased the product and it won't install - they refuse to answer emails
or refund my money - rip off...
I've still got the previous version and the original licence key...
Daft comment about emailing them for the full registration key - they've
stopped replying to customers - going bust I think...

make about my NON WORKING FAULTY product called netobjects11 - it looks like
they're def going bust, taking as much cash before the fall...

No one is deleting anything. I can see them all. Maybe you are having
trouble with your NG reader too! Wonder who makes that, and if they have
a newsgroup or forum.

When did you send your ticket to NO. This company now has new owners and
they are anxious to help you. If you write your trouble tickets like you
write your ng messages, then no wonder you do not get help.

I would say that you have a unique problem that requires a unique solution.

1. Did you buy the upgrade or the full verion?
2. Do you really have a full version serial number see here

3. ARe you installing on windows xp, vista or windows 7. Depending on
which OS you are installing onto may make a difference too.

There is an enormous resource in these NG about NOF. If you take your
time to explain your problem instead of bad mouthing the company you may
find it more productive. For instance the NOF tech support check these
NG, there are many beta test group members that are on this NG too that
are glad to help, and there are others that are expert in all phases of
NOF including installation.

Have you once asked for any help in this News Group. Obviously you would
have had some help here.

You are just making a fool of yourself.

I for one, if you are having problems, and cut the retoric, would be
glad to help you, but not until you simmer down.
