Re: url graphic
Thanks! That is a simple task that I can definitely fix right away.
And it is nice to know that someone can see it--and that I will eventually
see it too.

Margaret,
You really should be using BOTH of the link statements I sent you.
Plus the statement you have is actually incomplete:
> <LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http://www.auntym.com/favicon.ico">
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://lansrad.com/favicon.ico"
type="image/vnd.microsoft.icon">
<link rel="icon" href="http://lansrad.com/favicon.ico"
type="image/vnd.microsoft.icon">
Note: these lines may wrap in the post, but they are one-line statements.
If you use them exactly like this:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://auntym.com/favicon.ico"
type="image/vnd.microsoft.icon">
<link rel="icon" href="http://auntym.com/favicon.ico"
type="image/vnd.microsoft.icon">
Then they should work for you.
We have this exact setup on over 60 websites and it works on every single
one of them.

Not to differ with you in any way Charles...
Margaret - do note the wrap inserted by the NewsGroup (on the space before
"type"). What Charles suggested you use is just 2 lines (not 4 as the NG
makes it appear).
PMJI - just had to add it - even if it was obvious.....

PS - Charles - if you make a partial post, does your email show as

Re: url graphic
Well phooey. I thought I had it right and it isn't. I have no idea what I
should be using. I am bumfuzzled again!

Re: url graphic
Works just fine for me in both IE & FF. Attached is in IE - as FF doesn't
need the code Charles explained.
If you can't see it, it's because of your cache & how MS designed IE.
I believe you can (safely) move on...

Re: url graphic
I uploaded the two lines that Charles posted. Maybe that helped. I still
don't see it so I think I need to empty the Internet temp file and then it
will show up. But at least I know it works. Back to work on search engine.
It's another challenge that I am determined to win.

Don't count on that! It may be several weeks before your computer can see
it. If you don't trust my picture (;-) - try a friend's computer.
It shows - honest!

It was not working earlier here in IE.
Now it is (and without my needing to bookmark it).
I did a lot of research on it a couple of years ago and came up with the
two lines I posted.
FF doesn't care, but this seems to make IE work every time.
So now when I do a new site, I just copy/edit/paste the two lines and I am
done!
