If you build a site where you expext to have a ton of pages in the future, the
only reason not to start out with a dynamic DB driven site instead of static is
ignorance.

That I can pretty much agree with.
But then again, if I'm doing a site using ASP.NET W/code behind, that leaves NOF
unusable. VS.NET, Dreamweaver, and even FrontPage can handle it, but not NOF.

Yep...I agree on that aspect... which is why those designing sites need
multiple tools... if you are doing high end dynamic work, you wont use
Fusion... just like if you are authoring a novel, you wont use notepad.

There is no "end all" solution that will handle everything.. no "swiss
army knife" of the webdesign world.

Build a solid toolbox based upon your needs.

listed, and we are currently overhauling it to reflect many more "tools"

As Mark Reed said...Fusion is a great shell for housing PHP code.

I never use the DB Component, but virtually every site I do includes PHP and
usually with a MySQL backend.

I really suck at web design but am much more involved in the web programming/web
applications
