    Correct...

    Also - to all users... please DO NOT post your version manager links or
    give specifics on your site until this vunerability it fixed.

    In fact I would just hold off on posting ANY versioning questions for
    now.

    Could one just "Protect" the "_versioning_repository_" folder with
    ...htaccess temporarily until a better fix is found?

    If you use WebDav then it becomes part of the security process, that's
    why, as an outsider, I'm a bit surprised about the versioning running
    with straight ftp..
