    Default Fly-out submenu positioning

I'm trying to figure out how (or if it is possible) to have the fly-out
submenu for a horizontal menu bar appear below (vs at the same level and to
the right) of the menu item. I've set all the options by going to the
"Advanced" section under menu style but nothing I set there changes any
    behaviour on the menu.

In reading the documentation it sounds like this can only be done if I
create a custom menu bar and then create my own site structure within there
when all I really want is to have the fly-out menus appear below the item in
a horizontal menu instead of overlaying the menu item to the right of the
    item.

I'm sure I'm missing something simple here as I was able to do this in NOF 7
    before.

    Thanks for any pointers
    Neil

    Hi,

Not a NOF9er but suggest that you ensure you do click *apply* and that
you *select* the right layer. In most cases you want to select the
parents and apply the setting there so the offsets are inherited by the
children within the standard navigation pallet.

Doing this from memory so may have names a little off. For unknown reasons I've
had it work fine on some pages then others just won't change no matter how many
times you apply it. So I resort to copying the nav bar from a page that is
    working.

Select the nav bar, select the second tab and then select the advance button.
Fly-out should already be selected, change horizontal to vertical then select
slide down. Select apply and then ok.

I have not gotten it to work for "Site" menu items. If I create a totally
custom menu then I've had it work properly for me.
