    Default Image positioning

In Page Design I have aligned images in the layout area with text boxes
using guide rules there is no overlap. However when I view in Page Preview
all my images are in the wrong position. What's going on here?

Thanks Nancy I'll Have a go at that. I suppose tables do give you more
    control on spacing.
    Thanks again

    Hi Tony,
I never use the preview feature. I always local publish my work as I go
    along.
Make sure your screen resolution settings in NOF are set to match your
    monitor's screen resolution settings.
For example, if you preview your site at 1024x768 with 120 dpi fonts and
your monitor defaults to 800x600 with 96dpi fonts, things will look off no
    matter what you do.

Barring that, you might consider placing images inside a table instead of
    text boxes.
Set your table to 0 cell border, 0 cell padding, 0 cell spacing and turn off
    "Generate non-breaking spaces."
Local Publish to view your results.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello Tony,

I wonder if you are experiencing the same thing I am in previous posts here
titled "Bizarre positioning errors". Is it the case you are placing images
beneath text frames and the images appear to be pushed further down, leaving
a large gap between the end of the text and the image itself?

Does it appear okay in the Page Preview *tab* but not with the "Preview
Site" button? i.e. it looks okay within NOF but goes awry when actaully
    viewed in Internet Explorer?

    Hi Graeme,

Would you be able to post the html and the css you are using please? I
assume the css is being generated by NOF.

    Regards
    Ted

Graeme will do, how can they offer css and then say don't use it if you're
    using images Rubbish!
    Tony
PS Nancy suggested using tables and that seems to work so far??

    Hi Tony,

That's exactly the problem I am experiencing. It drove me nuts trying to
figure out what the cause is and I imagine from your other posts that you
too have elected to use CSS.

I have a case open with NOF support but so far the only advice is either to
switch to HTML Formatting (as opposed to CSS) or used a Fixed Page Layout,
both of which are not the way to go in my opinion.

It might be worth emailing them to add your name to the weight of the
problem. It looks like a bug to me but so far there is no admission that it
is other than they can replicate it and the work around is not to use CSS!
(see my other most recent posts for an example 1 page site I made in a few
    mins that replicates the problem)
