    Glen,

Do you have any 3rd party components installed in the 9 components folder?

Old versions have been known to make the new components in 9 fail to
    initialize.

And you do allow all installation windows to close on their own when
installing Fusion, I presume. Very important.

    Glen,

This issue has been reported by a couple of people. But others running VS
2003 or 2005 have no problems.

No pattern has emerged yet that I'm aware of.

Have you tried installing VS and then uninstalling and reinstalling Fusion
    9?

Yes, Chuck, that was one of the first things I did. As far as I know it may
not have anything to do with MSVS 05 at all. I just noticed the toolbars and
style were not functioning a little while after I had installed Studio. It
is a complete mystery to me. I did however, dug out and installed an old NOF
7.0 version to see if there were any problems, and to my surprise it seemed
to have all functions working properly. I checked the registry for 7.0 and
9.0 with reg edit and didn't see any discrepencies, but I don't know a damn
thing about Windows registry, only to not monkey around with it if you don't
know what you're doing. So the mystery continues.

Default Anyone know of any conflicts between NOF and MS Visual Studio 2005?

I'm still not being able to view advanced components or styles. I believe
this happened right after I installed MS Visual Studio 2005 on my system.
The VS is on another drive and it installed without any problems or notices.
However, NOF 8 and 9 opens and it has publishing ability but there are no
advanced tools or styles. I've looked all over the web and found sometimes
J# or SQL can sometime interfere. I've deleted both and still no luck. Can
    anyone help?

Oh, I know what you're speaking of Chuck, No I do not manually unzip and let

Don't close them manually. I'm speaking of the self-extracting zip window in
    particular.

Clicking on the X to close the window can result in an incomplete
    installation.
